Place the product on a flat, dry surface and gently push and move the balls to keep your cat interested. If you want to speed up adaptation, you can sprinkle a small amount of catnip on the scratching disk. Shave off with scissors any pieces of cardboard that become loose on the surface with use; replace with a new one if excessive wear occurs. If it gets wet, allow it to dry on its own at room temperature; do not use direct sun or hot air blowers. Cats that bite a lot may wear out faster than normal, so it is practical to have a spare.
