Claritine 10 mg, 10 tablets, Bayer Claritine helps reduce allergy symptoms by blocking the effects of a substance called "
histamine,"
which is produced in the body when you are allergic to something.
Claritine relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (e.
g.
, hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and burning or itchy eyes, in adults and children over 2 years of age weighing more than 30 kg.
Claritine can also be used to reduce symptoms of hives (itching, redness, as well as the number and size of ).
The effect of Claritine lasts all day and should help you resume your normal daily activities and sleep.
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse, you must consult a doctor.
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as instructed by your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

Composition: Loratadine, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, magnesium stearate.
Method of administration: Adults and children over 12 years of age: take one tablet once daily with a glass of water, with or without food.
For children aged 2 to 12 years, the dosage is based on body weight: Body weight greater than 30 kg: take one tablet once daily with a glass of water, with or without food.
Body weight of 30 kg or less: Do not administer Claritine.
Other, more suitable dosage forms are available for children aged 2 to 12 years weighing 30 kg or less.
Claritine is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.
Adults and children with severe liver impairment: take one tablet every other day with a glass of water, with or without food.
However, you should consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before taking this medicine.
If you have taken more Claritine than you should, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately
serious problems are not expected, although you may experience headache, rapid heartbeat, or drowsiness.
If you forget to use Claritine: if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, then continue taking it as usual.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Side effects: Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The most common adverse reactions reported in children aged 2 to 12 years are: headache, nervousness, fatigue, and increased appetite.
The following very rare adverse reactions (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people) have also been observed during the marketing of loratadine: severe allergic reaction (including swelling), dizziness, convulsions, irregular or rapid heartbeat, nausea (feeling sick), dry mouth, indigestion, liver problems, hair loss, skin rash, and fatigue.
Weight gain in children has been reported with unknown frequency.
