Castrol vector ® Long drain 5w-30 e6/e9 is a heavy-duty fully synthetic diesel engine oil specially formulated for longer oil life. It is suitable for diesel engines with and without particulate filters and most egr engines and engines equipped with scr systems for nox reduction and meets emission requirements from euro i to euro vi. To replace the castrol vecton fuel saver 5w-30 e6/e9, the new castrol vecton long drain 5w-30 e6/e9 delivers an enhanced feature profile, introducing the new acea hd e8 and e11 standards, and boasts further improved oem approvals. The new acea categories have been introduced to correspond to the evolution of the engines, defined by a combination of a number of regulations and performance requirements. As part of their application, two new tests have been developed to both test the performance of lubricants in ventilation control and to ensure that the lubricant brings a significant effect to oxidation control. · the new category acea e8 is for diesel engines that meet the emission requirements euro vi and earlier and operate under very severe conditions, such as significantly extended oil change intervals. Designed for engines with exhaust gas recirculation (egr) systems, with or without particulate filters, and engines equipped with selective catalytic reduction (scr) systems for nox reduction. E8 is recommended for particulate filter engines and is designed for use with low sulfur diesel fuel. · the new category acea e11 is proposed for high-grade diesel engines that meet the euro vi and earlier emission requirements that operate under less severe conditions than the category e8.
