Switch D-Link DES-1005P, 5 x 10/100Mbps The D-Link DES-1005P 5-Port Ethernet PoE+ Switch allows you to connect Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices, such as wireless access points (APs), IP cameras, and IP phones to your network.
Built with casual and small business users in mind, the DES-1005P is compact and operates silently, making it ideal for most rooms and offices.
Power over Ethernet The DES-1005P features four 10/100BASE-T ports that support IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE protocols, delivering up to 30W per PoE port and providing a total power budget of 60W.
You can connect compatible devices to the DES-1005P without using an additional power supply.
This allows you to save on cabling and install devices in locations without immediate access to power outlets.
High performance The DES-1005P features plug-and-play installation and requires no configuration.
Auto MDI/MDI-X support on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables when connecting to another switch or hub, and auto-negotiation on each port intelligently adjusts the port speed for compatibility with the connected device.
With wire-speed filtering and store-and-forward switching, the DES-1005P maximizes network performance while reducing the transmission of bad network packets.
Ecological technology The DES-1005P offers green technology such as IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE), link state detection, and cable length detection.
EEE adjusts the switch's power consumption based on network usage, reducing the cost of ownership during periods of inactivity.
Link state detection powers ports when no links are detected, saving power when connected devices are powered off or disconnected.
Cable length detection adjusts port power based on cable length, reducing the switch's power requirements.
Compact and quiet The DES-1005P's compact design allows for placement in most locations, including those where space is at a premium.
