Product description
Spearmint is a type of fragrant, sweet, and invigorating herb that is used worldwide to add flavor. It is widely used in the manufacture of chewing gum, candies, and dental hygiene products due to its minty flavor and breath-freshening properties. Spearmint essential oil is very different from peppermint essential oil and is a gentler alternative for cooking. In the kitchen, peppermint oil is often used in the preparation of salads, beverages, and desserts, but it can also be used to make salad dressings and marinades for homemade meat dishes.
mentha spicata.
main benefits: sweet-mint flavored food additive. Add it to salads, drinks, desserts, dressings, and marinades. It pairs well with lavender, rosemary, basil, mint, and eucalyptus.
a milder option for those who find peppermint essential oil too strong.
cooking with peppermint oil: essential oils are much more potent than dried spices and herbs or other flavoring agents, so a small amount of oil can impart a very intense flavor to food. When using peppermint oil in cooking, the best method is to use a skewer – insert the tip of a clean skewer into the bottle of essential oil and then rotate the skewer in the food. After mixing well, taste it to see if you want to add more oil. Uses: add a drop of peppermint oil to desserts, drinks, salads, or appetizers.
make your own refreshing mint lemonade by mixing squeezed lemon juice, water, sugar, and a few drops of mint essential oil. Transform traditional chocolate cookies by adding a drop of peppermint oil to the dough. Instructions for use: for flavoring food.
precautions: use only when diluted. Do not consume more than one drop per day. It wasn’t something children could easily handle. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
product source: why india? By sourcing the raw materials for peppermint from rural areas in northern india, we support hundreds of small farmers. By diversifying their crops to include those intended for the extraction of essential oils, such as mint, they manage to increase their income by a factor of 3 to 5. How does it work? Indian mint is generally a perennial plant, but in india, it is cultivated as an annual plant and, as a result, produces an essential oil with a unique chemical profile. It grows well in temperate climates and can reach a height of between 27 and 100 cm. Farmers can cultivate mint in combination with traditional crops such as wheat, potatoes, and corn. Also, grow mint after each harvest, so you have three different harvests throughout the year, instead of just one. Each farmer takes the harvested mint to a local distillery, which is usually located no more than 1 km from their home. The entire above-ground part of the plant (not just the root) is steam-distilled to extract the essential oil, a process that takes approximately 8 hours. this is the most widely tested method.
the most reliable. What do you have in the bottle? You will find the quality id on the bottom of the individual bottles of doterra essential oils purchased after may 2016. The quality id will consist of a series of six or seven digits and a letter.
