Product Source: Why Turkey? Oregano grows spontaneously in Turkey, as the plant thrives in the temperate climate of western and southwestern Eurasia and the Mediterranean region.
How it works: Turkish Oregano is a perennial medicinal plant that grows up to 1 m tall.
It is usually cultivated and used in the spice industry.
The essential oil is produced by steam distillation from the aerial parts of the plant.
Normally, wild-growing plants are harvested during flowering, once or twice a year, but cultivation is also possible.
