__t1__ is a detachable threaded fitting, consisting of two threaded parts and a compression ring/nut, with a sealing gasket between the two halves. the primary function of this type of fitting is to allow the connection of two pipe sections or a pipe to a piece of equipment (faucet, pump, meter). this allows for disassembly without cutting the pipe later, simply by unscrewing the nut. Screw size: 1/2"
