What is Parasinus Penta (24 tablets, Haleon)? ParaSinus Penta is used to relieve cold and flu symptoms—including fever, headache, muscle pain, and sore throat—as well as symptoms associated with sinus inflammation (stuffy nose, sinus pain, and runny nose), and it reduces nasal congestion.
Active ingredients in Parasinus Penta (24 tablets, Haleon) 500 mg paracetamol, which relieves pain and lowers fever
25 mg caffeine, which enhances the analgesic effect of paracetamol
5 mg phenylephrine hydrochloride, a decongestant that clears the nose and sinuses
20 mg terpin hydrate, an that thins secretions, making them easier to expel
38 mg ascorbic acid, which replenishes Vitamin C levels depleted during colds, flu, and febrile states.
Composition of Parasinus Penta (24 tablets, Haleon) The active substances are paracetamol, caffeine, phenylephrine hydrochloride, terpin hydrate, and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C).
Each tablet contains 500 mg paracetamol, 25 mg caffeine, 5 mg phenylephrine hydrochloride, 20 mg terpin hydrate, and 38 mg ascorbic acid.
Other ingredients include pregelatinized starch, maize starch, povidone, potassium sorbate, sodium lauryl sulfate, Sunset Yellow (E 110), stearic acid, and talc.
Administration of Parasinus Penta (24 tablets, Haleon) For oral administration.
ParaSinus Penta must not be administered to children under 12 years of age.
Always take the lowest effective dose to relieve your symptoms.
Adults, the elderly, and adolescents (children aged 12 years and older): the usual dose is 1–2 tablets taken every 4–6 hours, without exceeding 8 tablets in 24 hours.
The minimum interval between doses must be 4 hours.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Do not continue treatment for more than 7 days without medical advice.
If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 days of treatment, the clinical situation must be re-evaluated.
ParaSinus Penta contains caffeine.
Since caffeine can cause insomnia, restlessness, and anxiety, taking the medication late in the day is not recommended.
