PROPOLIS Capsules 30 capsules // 21 g ePropolis is a beekeeping product with significant importance for the bee colony, as well as for human health.
It is a mixture of resinous plant substances, vegetable wax, and essential oils with specific aromas collected by bees from the buds, bark, and twigs of certain trees and shrubs.
Its primary role is to protect the bee colony, contributing particularly to the asepsis of the hive's microclimate.
Worker bees actively participate in the formation of propolis by adding their salivary secretions and wax to the raw resinous material collected.
The composition of this product is complex, primarily represented by resins, balsams, polyphenolic compounds (phenolic acids and flavonoids), volatile (essential) oils, mineral salts, pollen grains, vegetable waxes, and beeswax.
The polyphenols in propolis determine a wide range of biological actions: , antioxidant, , anesthetic, healing, and immunomodulatory, through which it assists the human body both specifically and non-specifically.
Propolis acts as a non-specific stimulant of the immune system, enhancing its defense capacity against various aggression factors.
By stimulating the non-specific mechanisms of the immune system, it also supports the body during periods of overexertion and stress.
Additionally, it specifically stimulates immunity by amplifying the humoral immune response through increased antibody production.
