Nous e16 is a usb adapter designed to create a local smart home gateway. it connects to a pc, mini-pc, server, or compatible raspberry pi, allowing you to coordinate zigbee devices through home assistant, zigbee2mqtt, zha, or openhab. the hardware supports zigbee 3.0, thread, and bluetooth 5.2 le in the 2.4 ghz band
effective use depends on the software and installed platform. it features an external antenna, a metal casing, and a 5v power supply via usb. it's not a standalone hub: it requires a host system and software configuration. use indoors, protected from water and excessive heat. shut down services before disconnecting, and do not cut power during software updates. keep a copy of the configuration.
