Product description
Surely, the first experience of many of us with the aquarium was to watch the air bubbles that emerge on the surface. Some aquariums require constant aeration, while others need more intensive oxygenation.
water aeration is not only useful for creating wave action at the surface, but also for removing excess injected co2 or substances used as a drug which decay through oxidation.
these aspects are generally managed with the help of an air pump.
however, it is important that the injected air is not in the form of large bubbles that quickly rise out of the water. These should be broken down into small bubbles that are visually unobtrusive, do not over churn the water, do not spook the fish and oxygenate the water effectively. This function is performed by the air stone. Contrary to its name, air stone is not a stone in itself, but a piece made of porous material. This porous piece has one air inlet area and a plurality of outlet areas.
the air introduced by the pump passes through the air hose to the air stone, turning from large bubbles into hundreds of small bubbles due to the pressure applied. These tiny bubbles dissolve more efficiently in the water, promoting oxygenation as they are worn away as they rise to the frictional surface with the water. The diameter is 100mm.
