Product details

Product description

When soldering a chip onto a circuit board, the right type of solder is required, and the melting point of 183 degrees celsius is the most commonly used temperature. The ycs variant, designed for average temperatures, comes in a 50-gram package and is intended for use with ic and bga chips, flexible cables, and multilayer boards. It stretches evenly and holds very small parts securely. Anyone who does reballing on a daily basis has this tube on hand. Why do you choose 183 degrees? The melting temperature indicates how hot you need to heat the soldering iron so that the solder flows. At 183 degrees, there is a balance between the strength of the bond and the heat that the surrounding components absorb. Don’t overheat, but also don’t let the temperature drop too low. This value is suitable for standard pcb work, where there are no extremely sensitive components near the working area. It is used for repairing balls and for placing the chips on clean pads. For components that are sensitive to heat, look for a paste with a lower melting point.

apply correctly to the board. A thin, even layer is applied, with the stencil placed precisely on the area. Too much glue means the beads stick together, and you end up spending hours searching for the individual pieces. Too little means incomplete connections that fail at the first drop of the phone.

wipe off any excess paste from the stencil before lifting it, so you don’t transfer the paste to the adjacent surfaces. It heats evenly, not in specific spots, and allows you to observe the moment when the alloy solidifies on its own. After applying the adhesive, clean off any residue before feeding the board.

cleaning and expiration date. The tub should be kept closed, in a cool place, away from sunlight and heat sources in the workshop. The separate or drained pasta is no longer flowing properly and ruining your work. Before use, mix it gently to restore its uniform consistency. Write the date you opened it on the tube and don’t keep it for an indefinite period after that.

work with the fume extraction system turned on, as the fumes from soldering are not breathable. Wash your hands after work and don’t eat at the table where you worked with dough.
