Product details
Product description
The Opel Blitz project was designed to produce a robust and reliable commercial vehicle that could be used for various applications and purposes.
Opel began producing the first trucks in its Rüsselsheim factory in the early 1930s, featuring a typical American layout.
This marked the beginning of a great success story that evolved until the mid-1970s.
Due to its structural characteristics, the Opel Blitz was also used by the Wehrmacht during World War II, in both 4 x 2 and 4 x 4 versions.
However, its notoriety was solidified by its commercial success in civilian use.
After the war, the Opel Blitz became indispensable for supporting the relaunch of merchants, craftsmen, and German industrialists in their post-war reconstruction efforts.
Numerous specialized versions were also made, including one intended for firefighting interventions.
