Papo Imperial Penguin Figurine

Product description

Dive with humpback whales, jump in the waves with dolphins or become a frogman capable of exploring the depths of the ocean in search of magnificent specimens such as clownfish.

The emperor penguin is an extraordinary bird! did you know that it can survive temperatures below -50°C? It lives between the sea and the edge of the Antarctic continent in an extremely hostile environment dominated by icy winds and temperatures that only it can tolerate.

Although the penguin cannot fly, it is an accomplished diver whose aerodynamic body is well adapted to swimming.

It spends most of its time in icy water searching for food and can dive to great depths (up to more than 500 meters).

Emperor penguins live in colonies that can include thousands of birds.

Every year, they breed on ice floes and lay a single egg during May, which the male places on the tip of his feet, while the female returns to the water to feed.

Transferring the egg to the male's feet is a very delicate operation, as any contact with snow and ice would be fatal to the egg.

To stay warm, the males group together, huddling together and changing their position between the center and the outside (this is what is called a &amp

ldquoturtle formation&amp

rdquo).

The product has the following dimensions 4.2 x 3.7 x 7.6cm and is recommended for children over 3 years old.
