Portal Games Dreadful Circus

Product description

Dreadful Circus is a fast-paced strategy and negotiation game created by Bruno Faidutti.

Players are owners of bizarre circuses trying to create the most fascinating and terrifying collection of attractions, in an atmosphere that combines Victorian aesthetics with nightmare elements.

Concept and Story: Behind the heavy velvet curtains, dark secrets hide.

It's not just about the show, but about how you bid and negotiate to get the most profitable attractions.

Each purchased card adds new scoring rules, transforming the end of the game into a complex strategic calculation where only the most cunning circus director will triumph.

Main Mechanics: Closed Auction: Players secretly offer resources to win desired cards, using hidden coins or contracts.

Direct Negotiation: Some transactions require face-to-face discussions, where bluffing and diplomacy are essential.

Custom Scoring: Each player builds their own scoring system through collected cards, making the end unpredictable.

Intense Interaction: The game shines in large groups, where player dynamics dictate the value of each attraction.
