it has a straight blade with a centering tip and two side tips: the center tip fixes the position and keeps the drill on track, and the side tips draw the perimeter of the hole before the blade starts to slip.
therefore, the edge comes out clean, without any fibers breaking around the hole.
compared to a helical drill of the same diameter, the straight one is much faster and much cheaper, and its thin shape means it constantly evacuates the sawdust, without getting stuck.
the diameter is marked on the blade, so you can identify it at a glance when you have more than one in a bag.
the tail is hexagonal, with a holding channel, tightly to the mandrel.
