RODE VideoMicro II Condenser On-Camera Microphone RODE VideoMicro II Condenser On-Camera Microphone The VideoMicro II is the next generation of the VideoMicro – the best-selling on-camera shotgun microphone.
The VideoMicro was the first microphone in the world to offer professional-quality audio in such a compact form, making it an icon among content creators and filmmakers.
The VideoMicro II takes everything that made the original so successful and introduces several new performance-enhancing features and redefines the gold standard for ultra-compact on-camera audio equipment.
The VideoMicro II makes recording professional audio directly to your camera or smartphone incredibly simple.
It's a true shotgun condenser microphone with a supercardioid polar pattern that focuses on what it's aimed at while reducing background noise.
The body has been completely redesigned, incorporating revolutionary technology from the RØDE NTG5 microphone, delivering unparalleled clarity and a , full-bodied sound.
The circuitry has also been revamped, now offering increased sensitivity and lower self-noise.
The VideoMicro II delivers incredible clarity, never-before-heard audio quality in such a compact package, while still being as easy to use as the original.
Because it doesn't require batteries to operate and has no complicated controls, it's the ideal microphone for creators who want to instantly improve the audio quality of their camera or smartphone without any fuss.
One of the most striking new features of the VideoMicro II is the elegant red suspension mount.
This is the HELIX™ isolation mount – a highly innovative shock mount system developed by RØDE specifically for the VideoMicro II.
This groundbreaking design, expertly crafted to the microphone's exact specifications, solves many of the problems other shock mounts face when used with compact, lightweight microphones.
Molded from a single piece of advanced Hytrel® thermoplastic, it fully isolates the capsule from vibrations caused by impact, shock, and general use, which can result in booming and unwanted noise in your recording.
It's designed precisely for the microphone's size and weight, providing optimal stabilization and acoustic performance while remaining truly low-profile.
It also features handy cable management holes and a standard camera cold shoe mount, as well as a 3/8-inch thread for boom pole mounting and other accessories.
The VideoMicro II also features foam and future-proof windshields, making it suitable for recording in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors.
Also included is a 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable for connection to cameras and a 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable for connection to smartphones.
At just 39g, the VideoMicro II is incredibly compact and lightweight, making it ideal for use with DSLR and mirrorless cameras, compact camcorders, action camcorders, and smartphones.
It's super-portable, taking up minimal space in your creator kit, camera bag, or simply a backpack or purse.
It's also incredibly durable, designed and crafted at RØDE's state-of-the-art production facilities in Sydney, Australia, using the highest quality components, including a durable, all-metal body and a grade-A radio capsule.
