The glassware was founded in 1892 by entrepreneur Jozef Schreiber as the last and largest glass factory of the company in Vienna Schreiber und Neffen, which had the most modern technical equipment of its time.
The glass factory in Lednicke Rovne is the most successful glass factory in Slovak history.
In 1896, the glass factory in Lednicke Rovne introduced English production pantographs as the first on the continent.
In the 1940s, the glassworks collaborated with professional artists Vincent Hložník and Martin Benko to create decorations.
The range of production has always been very wide and diverse.
It included historicized pieces, often richly decorated, while in the functionalism era, simple and elegant cups and shapes were developed, predominantly made of smooth transparent glass, fully respecting the principles of this minimalist style.
These lines were accentuated and developed through the patenting of a new manually made technology, the so-called pulled stem in 1956, which is still one of the emblematic signs of glass products from Lednicke Rovne.
