  • This guide highlights everyday actions that work towards

  • • improving the quality of life for the people we work with,

Sustainable Impact Plan

Using a materiality analysis assessment, we identified the most crucial areas for the Trendyol Group to focus on. We defined the main focus areas where we could have the greatest impact with the participation and engagement of more than 2,000 stakeholders including our team, sellers, suppliers, customers, and civil society. In parallel, we analyzed the pressing issues facing the e-commerce sector today and the broader global sustainability agenda. We have strategically aligned our plan around two main goals: Planet & People.

1. Planet

Climate change is a global emergency that requires coordinated solutions at all levels. We are committed to transforming our operations and protecting our planet. We have identified three areas where we can make a significant impact:
Carbon Reduction, Packaging & Waste, and Sustainable Production.

  • 1.1

We are committed to ensuring our remuneration design and decision making is fair, transparent, and based on performance within the role. At Trendyol, everyone has an equal opportunity to fully participate and contribute, to be recognized, rewarded, and feel valued for their contributions – irrespective of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, or any other dimension of their identity.

Our culture is a vivid one and we believe the office gatherings are important to know our culture better and fuel our teams’ engagement. The first day of our multi-day employee onboarding program is a Culture Day where all new team members come together in our offices to familiarize themselves with our values and culture.

Our remote working model allows teams to work where they feel most productive, creative, and comfortable – in the office or at home. We also have the flexibility to work from anywhere, including working abroad during the summer (July and August).

Corporate Social Impact Projects

  • Villages of Tomorrow
    • In cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), we are taking action to prepare our villages for the future. The Villages of Tomorrow project will use digital technology to increase employment opportunities, improve production, protect cultural values, and raise living standards in rural parts of Türkiye. The initiative combines Trendyol's technological expertise with United Nations Development Program's on-the-ground experience in rural development.

    • The “Villages of Tomorrow” project will establish digital centers in targeted villages to make digital technologies accessible to all. The centers will take an inclusive approach, seeking to engage young people, women, and people with disabilities. A focus will be on leveraging technology to improve production processes. Local producers will receive training in areas such as e-commerce, e-export, product development, marketing, branding, packaging, finance, and quality control. Village products with a distinctive Anatolian branding will thus find a direct path to end consumers.

    • The digital centers will also disseminate smart agricultural practices, helping local farmers increase yields, reduce costs, and protect nature. Coding, algorithm, and robotics workshops will be organized for village children, as well as digital art workshops for young people. The centers will also offer digital applications for education and health services and computerized product design.

    • Launching initially in three pilot villages in Adana, Diyarbakir and Izmir provinces, Villages of Tomorrow aims to reach a total of ten villages over five years. For each village, three focus products will be selected for development in the first year of the project. Neighboring villages will also benefit. By the end of the project, the share of new e-commerce entrepreneurs in the villages is expected to increase by 60%. The project aims to reach more than one million people over five years.
