Other Features
"Angled Design for Hard-to-Reach Areas: The applicator features a unique, engineered angle between the handle and the foam sponge head, allowing healthcare professionals to easily maintain uniform pressure across contoured body surfaces. Integrated Fluid Reservoir: The hollow handle design acts as a secure container for the 26 mL solution, preventing early contamination and keeping the antiseptic sealed until ready for activation. Controlled-Flow Delivery System: Designed to eliminate messy dripping and accidental splashing, ensuring the solution is dispensed directly into the sponge pad at a smooth, steady rate. Safe-Distance Handle: The elongated plastic handle ensures the medical professional's hands remain far from the patient's skin, maintaining strict sterile boundaries during application."
Instructions for Use/Warnings
"Open Package: Tear apart the package and remove the swab applicator. Refer to the enclosed usage instructions. Handle Carefully: Do not touch the foam pad. Place the foam flat side down on the treatment area. Application Technique: Use gentle back-and-forth strokes to prep the incision site for at least 30 seconds, then continue back-and-forth strokes, progressing from the incision site to the periphery. Dry Sites (e.g., abdomen or arm): Use repeated back-and-forth strokes for 30 seconds. Moist Sites (e.g., inguinal fold or axilla): Use repeated back-and-forth strokes for 2 minutes. Completely wet the treatment area with antiseptic. Drying Time: Allow the area to air dry for approximately one (1) minute. Do not blot or wipe the solution away. Solution must be dry for optimal drape/dressing adhesion."
