Product details
Product description
Start your study of mechanical physics by learning about simple mechanisms and how they are used to facilitate the performance of complex tasks, discovering everything about them.
With 26 model-building exercises, you will explore all six classic simple machines (wheels and axles, levers, pulleys, inclined planes, screws and cams) and gears.
Start with simple models to ensure a thorough understanding of the principles, then move on to larger and more complex models.
a specially designed arc scale is also included for you to measure how machines change the direction and magnitude of forces, which makes it easier.
with this durable, modular building system, you can see how the same basic elements come together in different ways to create each machine.
models can be assembled and disassembled over and over again
combine pieces to create your own configurations, limited only by your imagination! In addition to the invaluable hands-on experience you'll gain from building models, the 32-page full-color guide also showcases examples of simple machines in everyday use.
The seesaw in the playground, the wheelbarrow in your backyard, the pole in your school garden, these are all examples of simple machines in the real world! So, start building, researching, and experimenting to discover how physics is all around us! The 48-page, full-color illustrated guide walks you through your experiments with step-by-step instructions.
