M5Stack Basic v2.7 is an entry-level IoT controller based on the Espressif ESP32 chip, designed for those who want to quickly start an internet-connected project without building hardware from scratch. Although it is the most affordable in the M5Stack Core series, it comes with a high level of integration: color screen, speaker, microSD slot, battery, and fully enclosed casing – all in a compact 54×54 mm module. The dual-core Xtensa® LX6 processor at 240 MHz, combined with 16 MB Flash and integrated Wi-Fi + Bluetooth, makes it capable of running applications with graphical interfaces, cloud connectivity, audio playback, and sensor control simultaneously. It targets hobbyists, students, teachers, and developers who want to rapidly prototype or teach electronics and IoT programming. It is suitable for both personal projects (smart home, data displays, DIY automation) and simple industrial applications (controllers with displays, data nodes, status panels). Thanks to compatibility with the M5Stack ecosystem, it can be extended with dozens of sensors and plug-and-play modules without soldering. Programming is done via USB Type-C directly from a computer.
