M5Stack StickS3, ESP32-S3 Module The M5Stack StickS3 is a compact programmable controller based on the ESP32-S3 microcontroller, designed for IoT projects, automation, remote control, and voice assistant applications. It integrates Wi-Fi connectivity, a color display, microphone, speaker, rechargeable battery, and motion sensors into a single device, making it suitable for both rapid development and portable project use. The module is equipped with the ESP32-S3-PICO-1-N8R8 chip, which includes a dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor with a frequency of up to 240 MHz, 8 MB Flash memory, and 8 MB PSRAM. This configuration provides sufficient processing power for complex applications, including graphical interfaces, wireless communication, and audio processing. On the front side, there is a 1.14-inch color LCD screen with a resolution of 135 × 240 pixels, used for displaying information, menus, sensor values, or custom interfaces. The device also includes programmable buttons for controlling user-defined functions. The audio system consists of the ES8311 codec, a MEMS microphone with a signal-to-noise ratio of 65 dB, and an AW8737 amplifier connected to a 1 W speaker. This assembly enables clear voice capture and audio playback, making it suitable for voice commands, recording, and audio feedback. StickS3 integrates a 6-axis IMU sensor, useful for detecting motion, tilt, and orientation. It also includes an infrared transmitter and receiver, allowing control and learning of commands from compatible remote controls, such as those for televisions, air conditioners, or other electronic equipment. The device is powered via USB Type-C and includes a 250 mAh Li-Po battery, making it suitable for portable applications. The magnetic back allows quick attachment to metal surfaces. On the bottom side, there is a Grove HY2.0-4P port for connecting additional sensors and modules, while the top side features the 16-pin Hat2 Bus interface for expanding functionality.
