Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. Insert a test strip into the device port. Prepare the lancing device and insert a new lancet. Prick your side finger to obtain a small drop of blood. Touch the drop of blood to the edge of the test strip. Wait approximately 5 seconds for the results to appear on the screen. Record the result, if necessary.
