Börk is known as a man's hat or headdress in Turks. In the past, it was made of animal hide and processed leather, and later made of felt and chuha. Börk was used by Turkmen tribes living in Iran and Anatolia and in Seljuk and Ottoman armies. It is written in the sources that Osman Bey wore a scarf made of red broadcloth.
