    Product description

Loose Chamomile Tea, 50 grams, StefMarProduct Details:Chamomile (Matricaria recutita, also known as Roman chamomile, chamomile, matricaria, moruna, Roman, romonel or through Transylvania as Romanica) is one of the most popular medicinal plants.

It is a grassy, aromatic plant found in all plain areas, meadows, roadside verges, sunny spots, or saline grounds.

It is distinguished from similar species by the aromatic scent of its flowers, the 0.5-0.8 cm diameter of the flower heads, and the curved greenish-yellow center of the flowers surrounded by white petals.

Chamomile flowers are harvested in May and June.

The flowers can be used fresh, but their active compounds retain their qualities for a year if dried in a dark, dry place.

Chamomile is primarily used in infusions and extracts.

It is also an ingredient in some preparations such as eye solutions, throat sprays, mouthwashes, and tablets.

Another remarkable effect is the inactivation of bacterial toxins, especially those of staphylococci and streptococci.

Finally, but not least, its immunostimulatory action must be added to the list of chamomile's properties.
